Introducing the new Catholic UK walking pilgrimage platform, designed to present the hidden treasures of England and Wales' 22 diocesan shrines. Working with Phil McCarthy, the Hearts in Search of God project founder, was an absolute delight. The platform took about 6 months to complete and includes in-depth details of UK pilgrimage locations, walking routes, spiritual prayers, and guidance for the journeys.

Maryton Carmel is home to 26 Discalced Carmelite nuns; their mission is to be a living community of prayer, offered up for those who are in need of God's love most. The Monastery is a modern build and considered one of Europe's finest; with power efficiencies, beautiful design and breathtaking landscapes. It was a real blessing to spend time with the sisters who contributed most of the design, and shaped the website to reflect the spirit and character of its community. Visit

God the Father of Mankind seeks to reveal a unique message to His children; "The Father speaks to His children" was entrusted to Mother Eugenia, a nun belonging to the Congregation of Our Lady of the Apostles. The Messages of the Father to Eugenia in 1932 were the only private revelations (the first time in the history of the Catholic Church) made personally by God the Father, and was awarded the Imprimatur by the Church following ten years of the most rigorous examinations conducted and approved by church

We are delighted to hear that we have been selected to develop a new dynamic website enterprise platform for the Faith Companion; a national Catholic magazine, launched in April 2018 by Managing Director Kathy Bishop and a group of passionate and knowledgeable contributors. Bishop Richard Moth officially launched and celebrated the magazine with Kathy and the team at St John's parish, Horsham.

The Faith Companion magazine offers an encounter with Catholic Tradition and sharing experiences of God. It aims to be an interface between faith and life.

The new platform will focus on further broadening the Faith Companion's core mission with additional bespoke features which will involve working with faith pilgrimage partners to support and grow both the individual and the family's faith. Also, it will include more dynamic stories about real people on their own journey of faith and interpretations of what faith means to them. Many more additional enhancements are also being developed.

We have just completed another UK St Peters parish website; this time destination Scotland. St Peters Hamilton required a modern parish website to help convey the parish and community spirit. We have now built more St Peter websites than any of the other Saints. Would be interesting to find out how many Catholic parishes in the UK are named after St Peter.

On visiting the county of Gloucestershire, one could easily miss this beautiful monastery; home to Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks. The monastery belongs to the English Province of the Subiaco Cassinese Congregation, within the International Benedictine Confederation. It was a wonderful blessing to be asked to construct a new website for the monastery, one which captures the spirit and character of its community. On commencing the work we soon discovered how different this monastery is, and the depth of rich history which permeates through every aspect of daily living.

Amongst the many surprises was the discovery of the "Prinknash Incense" product. Their Incense is renowned across the world and comes in many flavours. The Benedictine Communities have a mysterious gift when it comes to being self-sufficient. They have practised the art and the habit of bearing fruit in all seasons. And from what I have learnt, the secret is simply revealed in their "way of life" - "Ora et labora", Pray and Work...

While reflecting on the Feast of St Joseph celebrated this week (Tuesday 19th March), one of our dear family friends happened to mention something which I hadn't pondered upon - until now! - I'm sure that many of our theology experts will be familiar with this; but to us "the lay" its something we might not have considered.

He said: "Anthony do you realise that in the Bible, St Joseph does not say a single word..."

And yet our family, (as do many other families within our Catholic Church) has entrusted our prayers and our walk in faith to him in a huge way - relying on his wonderful intercession.

Many of our great Saints have encouraged us to seek the assistance of St Joseph for any need; but most useful is his help in matters concerning the family.
"Some Saints are privileged to extend to us their patronage with particular efficacy in certain needs; but do not in others, but St Joseph has the power to assist us in all cases, in every necessity, in every undertaking."
To other Saints Our Lord seems to have given power to succor us in some special necessity - but to this glorious Saint, I know by experience, he has given the power to help us in all..."

And so God is glorified once again, in that faith can instil within us a burning desire to call upon the assistance of one who remained so silent within the context of the Bible, but in his silence, his utter obedience, God's grace shines on St Joseph in the most powerful way.

Something a little different for my brothers and sisters in Christ! My wife Erica Evans has operated a Paper Craft business in Cardiff for over 20 years. She and a group of amazing women get together at a community centre, where Erica teaches the art of making amazing beautiful cards, journals and other various crafts known as "paper crafts''.

Erica has been a practising Christian (Church of England) in her own way for most of her lifetime and has tolerated me as "the weirdo" Catholic husband who tends to get a little over excited, in anything which reveals the person of Jesus Christ. I will add at this point that she does have cause to call me a little weird; I've tried many times to turn the ladies craft group into a prayer group subtly; but have settled for a compromise, in that some of the ladies and I have healing prayers at coffee time!
The above said the reason why I write is that on a journey to Rome recently, Erica, my beautiful wife was swept off her feet. The story of the saints through Art - In particular, a painting of Saint Jerome (Communion of St Jerome) by Domenichino, with emphasis on the Blessed Sacrament, and St Teresa's (The Ecstasy of St Teresa) by Bernini. There were so many other paintings that she seemed to be transfixed by, and I can only say that what happened in Rome was miraculous. In that, her heart was seduced by Our Lord Jesus, and as a result on returning to Wales, Erica had come to realise that she was missing out on the Sacrament of Holy Communion; this amongst other aspects of our faith. We are now in the process of having her join the Catholic church, after 22 years of marriage.

The image of the Sacred Heart within the header of this page was a gift that Erica hand made for me on St Valentines Day. It is made of papier-mâché (heart), gold leaf and decoupage. Receiving this gift after recently returning from Rome has left me in no doubt that my bride has become a "Bride in Christ". This a remarkable example of how our Lord Jesus receives our love, enabling us to gain more of His. And so we are empowered to LOVE others far more than we are able too on our own. Praise to Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, God and Saviour.

Six months ago, our oldest son Luke set off to France to embark upon his 12 month study placement. He didn't know anyone, and it was a case of "trust in God" as he "stepped out" into unknown territory. Anyway, that's what we thought. Little did we know that God had other plans. Luke was connected with the Catholic community, and is now staying in residence with other Catholic students; and even has access to a little chapel with the Blessed Sacrament within the building. In the above picture, Luke with other students (at the Nantes Cathedral), is giving a youth talk to help celebrate World Youth in Panama. Praise God for animating our youth during these difficult times, and for answering our prayers.

Whilst many within the Christian Church environment are still sceptical about "reaching hearts" through the impersonal medium know as "technology", others are seeing it as a necessary tool; in that it delivers an open channel, through which the intended audience can be reached where they are. With statistics showing that some 99% of adults now have access in some way to online browsing, our Christian Church cannot ignore the growing demands of its congregations for accessing information through technology.

Individuals are served constant messages designed and tailored by the secular world to appeal to the desires of the consumer. This is why it is absolutely necessary to serve Christians information which will assist them in edifying their faith journey; in doing so helping to maintain a balance of sound moral "faith-filled" nourishment to counter the constant assault of secular website marketing; which seeks to appeal to the pleasure senses; these strategies potentially lead our Christian brothers and sisters astray.

All Christian organisations should embark upon a "technology led communication strategy" to ensure that congregations are retained and served with healthy information which seeks to re-enforce the Christian World View. Web Designs and platforms are an excellent way to re-enforce the ground strategy, reaching otherwise unobtainable or more seriously vulnerable members of the Christian Church.

Many of our Parish websites are currently using old programming language, which in many cases renders the site vulnerable to malicious activity. Modern websites use the latest coding, designed to minimise the likelihood of suspicious activity. Furthermore, it is fundamentally essential that your website be issued with an SSL certificate. This ensures that information submitted through your website (enquiry forms, transactions, comments, emails) is encrypted; meaning that anyone trying to use naughty tactics to view visitor information, will only see the encrypted code, thus protecting the website visitor's information.

Google is now penalising websites which do not have an SSL certificate, by displaying to the website visitor, a warning message: "Unsecured website" -

SSL certificates provide your website with a padlock or green browser bar, and reassures website visitors that they are safe on your website. Google also favours secure sites; which means that your search engine ranking may improve, should a certificate be displayed.

During a visit to an Ecumenical Summit in Rome, we were introduced to Mark Mallett, a passionate Catholic Singer and Songwriter from Canada. He truly is an extraordinary person with a full time ministry for our Catholic Church. Mark and his wife Lea live on a farm and have 8 children. What a blessing it was to have met him. His music is absolutely beautiful. I believe he wrote the song below for his beautiful wife, and his singing is also out of this world! Please do check out his website - Some of the art prints illustrated are also created by his wife Lea and daughter Tianna, and are also beautiful. Praise God for these wonderful gifts:

A word for 2019 - JOY

My wife Erica's word for 2019

Erica (my Wife and Soul Mate), recently had a gathering with her Art group, and she tasked everyone to come up with an inspirational "keyword" for 2019. The plan being that the pieces of Art created must have a theme synonymous with the keyword, a kind of barometer to ensure that one doesn't stray etc.

I was excited and intrigued to hear that Erica had chosen the word

    "JOY."

This for me, revealed a disturbing reality; being that we all too often allow our circumstances to determine who we are and how we should feel. This is a kind of bondage in many respects, because the world is very good at encouraging us to feel and act in a way conducive with our circumstances. This for me isn't always Christian in that, yes we should have time for grieving the loss of loved ones, or shedding a few tears because of hardships; but we have to be careful that we do not allow our circumstances to rob us of the deposit or treasure; the

    "joy"

entrusted to us as children of God.

scripture teaches us that we should "cast all of our cares on the Lord" (1 Pet 5:7) for this very reason. Faith allows us to release the feeling of sadness, so that we can come again back into the joyful state which is both a blessing and a responsibility. The world is very good at keeping people in sadness, robbing them of their joy.

When you look around, are you seeing brothers and sisters in Christ radiating his joy? Are we looking for opportunities every day to give God praise for the beauty of His creation and the circumstances which Glorify Him? Each one of us has a responsibility to reveal a joyful faith to others; let us try be a little more habitual in sharing our Joy, our smiles and our praise. Thank you Lord for your Joy. I pray that we all make more of an effort to share this blessing with each other.

Whether we like it or not, the concept of faith is partly formed (especially in the early stages of discernment) by having easy access to information or content which builds up, or re-enforces one's expectation in terms of relevancy.

With nearly a 3rd of the planet's population accessing information on the internet, and recent astonishing facts that 99% of 16-34 year olds are browsing online, our churches cannot ignore the requirement for a modern, aesthetic functional website.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we were blessed to have been invited to stay with our dear friends in Rome to celebrate the New Year, and can only say that this city, and those who serve Christ living there, must be covered in what I can only describe as "Heavenly Star Dust". My family and I were invited to a party celebrating the Feast of the Holy Family, and I am convinced that some of the priests and friends attending were actually angels in disguise. Our dear friends John and Ashley have lived a "romantic honeymoon" in Rome for over 10 years, and are extraordinary people. They are professors in theology and art and tell the story of faith, the saints, art and the relevance to the places of Rome in a way that helped moved my wife Erica to decide to join the Catholic Church. Erica was part of the Church of England, but supported me and the children as practicing Catholics for over 20 years. It took Rome, the story of faith though art, and beautiful christians living in the "eternal city" to help nudge her; of course with the subtle touch of the Holy Spirit!

Whilst writing and reflecting on this heavenly trip, one can only touch upon the highlights, as there are far too many amazing people and places to talk about. I will however, take the opportunity to mention the astonishing hospitality of the Benedictine Monks. Whilst our work in the UK has included several projects for the order of St Benedict, it was a complete surprise to meet Fr Gregory who welcomed our family with an extraordinary warmth. We had an introduction to the Monastery (St Anselm's) which is the International HQ for the Benedictine congregations, and a tour of the nearby churches, one of which St Thomas Aquinas, St Francis and others had frequented.

It was a privilege for Every Day Christian marketing to be invited to a unique summit at the Vatican in Rome on November 8th 2018. We joined Cardinal Francis Arinze and other many other amazing Christian leaders who were brought together to discuss initiatives where all denominations could join together to celebrate and coordinate activities which bear lasting fruit for Christ. The theme of the summit was centred around John 17:21, the priestly prayer of Christ, where Jesus prayers that "they all may be one..."

What a wonderful experience, to be able to tour the Portsmouth docks with the Chaplains working to ensure the well being of seafarers who work on the international ships. The chaplains connect with so many different people, helping them to be treated well whilst travelling the world, sometime under very difficult circumstances.

A great blessing for us to be invited by the Cardinal to attend an evening with him and our Kathy Bishop, Managing Director of "The Faith Companion", a new Catholic magazine which explores the reasons for why Catholics believe what they do and present it in simple terms to help us lay folk learn the hidden treasures.

Cardinal Vincent gave a presentation on modern day slavery and how this horrible activity impacts on the lives of God's children. It really was an eye opener, many people including us at Every Day do not get to here about this activity which is happening all around us.

A big thank you also for the hospitality received from our brothers and sister at the Apostles of the Sea. It was so warming and encouraging to see how this amazing charity is helping to identify and monitor the standards within shipping which impact the lives of our sear farers.
